Some where in France,
April 30, '18.

Dear sweetheart,

I am well and feeling fine but
pretty lonesome and home sick. I have
not received any letters for over two weeks.
Your last letter was dated Mar 19 and
I often wonder if you wrote since. The
weather here is fine and all the country
looks very nice. Some of the places re-
mind one of Cal. so it is no wonder
a fellow feels blue. There are many
interesting places in this country and
many things to see. I am sending you
a flower I picked along a road way
while the company was resting. They
are the only ones I could get as we do
not have much of a chance to get any
thing. Let me know how you like
