quite high up. We are out in the machine almost every day. Sunday we started about 10.00 o'clock and went about 18 miles until we came to Santa Cruz. We rode all around in Santa Cruz and then went over to the beach. We went out on the beach and sat in the sand and watched the people. The oldest girl wanted to go in the water, but she wouldn't go unless I went. So I had to go in with her. Well we got our suits and caps and came out on the beach and went out in the

water. We went quite a ways out and the breakers came right over our heads. I tell you we got some ducking. After we were out there long enough we went into the Baths. Say we had a picnic there. There was a whole mob of people in it. After we had been in there a long time, we had to get out and get started for home. Gee I was sore. I could have stayed in there a whole day. "We had more fun". Went in to the cafeteria had some thing to eat and then started for home. Say some time; I only

Dear Henry

Remember writing your address, one enclosed in this letter, well we got it all O.K. but as we happen to be twins had a fight over it so both are going to write.

Where are you? Have traced the hose to Moore Watson Dry Goods Co. are you still there?

And say, are you a blonde or have you great big brown eyes Sis likes blondes but the other one like brunettes, so if you tell us which you are, perhaps we wont fight quite so much.

Answer once for we feel very much concerned.

Affectionately yours L & H

Darling Sweetheart,

I suppose you think I have forgotten all about you as you have not received any letter from me for so long. Well dear, the reason is that I am Some where in France, and I suppose the the mail does not travel very fast. There are many things I would like to write to you about, but it is impossible as all the mail is censored. The subjects that I can write about are all very limited so darling do not be disappointed at the letters I send you. There are many things I would like to write about but now you know the reason why. We are only allowed to send so many letters a week so do not be disappointed if you do not receive as many as you would like. But just the same dear I think of you day and night. You can realize how I long to be back again with you in dear old S.F. Many are the times I feel love sick and weary and wish you were near to cheer me.

I often look back to the days gone by and dream of you and the times we used to have together. Those days are still fresh upon my memory and will never be forgotten. I often lay awake at night and wonder what you might be doing at that moment and hoping that you were happy and enjoying your self even if I could not be with you. Dear I hope you enjoyed the holidays even if I was not there to enjoy them with you. I sure will make up for the times I have lost when I get back to dear old S.F.

How are your uncle and aunt? Do you still go out to visit them as often as you used to? Well tell them I was asking about them and send my best regards. How are all the folks down at Redwood City? Tell them I send my best regards. I suppose you went down to spend the holidays with them. Gee I wish I had been there. Oh You. Have you seen or heard from Lillian lately? I often wonder if she ever hears from Leo and where he may be at this time. He used to say he would like the trip and wonder what he will say when he returns. I guess he will say the same as I do and will be glad when he gets
