Descript. Leaves altogether none. Scape
10 inches to 1 foot high. terete. glabrous
below, pubescent with glands above: clothed
at the base [crossed out: which] with rather closely-placed,
above more distant, sheathing, large
membranaceous, brownish-green scales.
gradually passing into the linear lanceolate,
pubescent bracteae. Spike lax, of few
flowers, almost entirely as in the whole scape
of a reddish-green colour, standing out horizontally
an inch and a half long. The 3 outer
petals, or segments of the perianth, linear
lanceolate, nearly straight. The 2 lower ones
embracing the lip & running down below it
into a rather short obtuse spur. The 2
upper & inner ones glabrous of the same

uppermost one; Lip about as long as the
