(votes, 13 for, 1 against), from R. Briggs-Bury, Esq., Bank House,
Accrington
(gr. Mr. Wilkinson). A very free-growing variety, with
broader dorsal sepal than the original form. Sepals white, with emerald-
green lines. Petals and lip emerald green.

Award of Merit.

To Cypripedium Godefroyæ citrinum (votes, 13 for, 1 against), from
Francis Wellesley, Esq., Westfield, Woking (gr. Mr. Hopkins). A fine

large pale-yellow flower, with a broad irregular network of claret colour
on the upper sepal and petals. (Fig. 53.)

To Lælio-Cattleya × Massangeana 'Harry Goodson' (L. tenebrosa
× L.- C. Schilleriana)
(votes, unanimous), from H. S. Goodson, Esq.,
Fairlawn, Putney (gr. Mr. Day). Sepal and petals yellowish, tinged and
veined with brownish-rose; lip white at the base; side lobes and front
purplish-crimson.
