Know all men by these presents that I Danid Lambert
of Mieford in the County of Newhaven for the Consideration
of Forty five pounds lawful money receivd to my full
satisfaction of Amos Botsford of Newhaven in said County
have made over, sold, conveyd, & confirmd, and do by
these presents make over, sell, convey & confirm unto
the said Botsford his heirs & assigns a certain Negro
Girl called Jemima to me belonging, about sixteen
years of age a slave for life, and do also covenant
with the said Botsford that I have good right to
bargain & sell said Negro Girl in manner & form
as above written & that she is free of all Incumbrances
whatever Reserving only to myself one fortnight Labour
at my risque of her life & Health, during that Time, In Witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the [?] day
of July A.D. 1773
