Manifest of Negroes, Mulattoes, and persons of Colour, taken on board the [?] William Robert of Vienna whereof Robert Langsdale is Master, burthen Fifty one 85th / 95 tons, to be transported to the Port of Alexandria in the District of Columbia -- for the purpose of being sold or disposed of as Slaves, or to be held to service or labour.

The Inspector in attendance on the above named Schooner will strictly examine the Negroes named and described in the above Manifest, and if found exactly to agree therewith will permit the same to be landed. Edwd Green [illegible]

This is to certify that upon examination of the Slaves designated above I find them to correspond as set forth in the above list. Jno Swann [fo Imp??]

District of Vienna Port of Vienna. The 21st day of August, 1835, Mr Robert C Rufsum (?) ownerShipper of the persons named and particularly described in the within Manifest, and Robert Langsdale Master of the Schooner William Robert of Vienna do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear, each of us, to the best of our knowledge and belief, that the within named Slaves have not been imported into the United States since the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eight; and that under the Laws of the State of Maryland, they are held to service or labour as slaves, and are not entitled to freedom under these Laws, at a certain time, and after a known period of service. So help us God. Sworn to this 31st day of August 1835, before Charles Leary Collector.

The 31st day of August 1835 I, Charles Leary (indistinguishable) Collector of the District of Vienna, do herby certify, that the within is a true copy of the Original Manifest or List of Slaves, left on file in this office; and I do further certify that Robert C. Rufsum (?) owner & Shipper ~ ~ of the said Slaves and Robert Rufsum (?) ~ Master of the within mentioned Vessel ~ have this day made oath, in manner directed in the Ninth Section of the Act of Congress, passed the second day of March, 1807, prohibiting the importation of Slaves into the United States -- I do herby authorize the said Master to proceed with the said Slaves named as within, and being Ten _ _ in number, to the Port of Alexandria in the District of Columbia Given under my hand at the Custom-House of Vienna, the date above written.
