our camp completely
and then the brigade
was orderd on a scout
wee marcht at 2 oclock
the dis patch came
that grant had
taken petersburg with
50 guns and
12000 prisoners and
after wee marcht
a distance colonel
kirby halted us
for a short rest
and said that he
had another dispatch
richmond was
ours and that wee
had three days hard
march on lands
then we would hav
easier times fresh pork
