city marched the vanquished and the
victorious [the conquered and the conquerer]
The one to his home. The other to further struggles
for the right. The marches made to
establish the perpetuity of the union are of

dignified with the hand of a master every
relation he sustains in life, and those of us
who have been presented are permitted to
enjoy that full realization of a nations glory
which its fathers hoped for in vain.
