Sacramento, March 12, 1862

A special meeting was called by the president
President D. Kohn presiding, who states that he
called this meeting for the purpose of considering
the condition of the congregation and devise
some plan for its future prosperity.

A motion was made that a committee be appointed
to ascertain what number of members we have at present
who are willing to remain with us, and how many more
we can possibly obtain and report the same at the
special meeting to be called by the president for
that purpose and that said committee may
consist of the trustees and secretary.
The motion was lost.

A motion was made that a committee of two
be appointed to attend to the collection of money.
The motion was amended so as the committee
consist of five who are also requested to devise
some plan and introduce some resolution
for the forming of future affairs of the congregation.
The motion was adopted as amended.

The president appointed the following gentlemen
to that committee
Joseph Bremer
A. Levy
Charles Lehman
L. Elkus
S. Zekind

On motion the meeting adjourned.
