Minutes of July 12th, continued

On motion Mr. C Lehman was stricken
from the role of members and dues remitted.

On motion, the Secretary was permitted
to credit to account of M. Tobias 10.00 as claimed
by Mr. Tobias to be an error on his account.

A communication was read from Mr.
Silberstein offering his services as Chazzan
Shochat and teacher for the sum of 30 dollars
per month. The communication was
received and placed on file.

On motion of S. Zekind, the election of chazzan
was laid over until the next semi-annual
meeting.

A motion was made and carried that
the board of officers be authorized to
appoint a shochat from time to time
until one is elected by the congregation
providing the salary does not exceed 25 dollars.

No further business appearing
the meeting adjourned.

A special meeting of the board of officers
was held. All present. L. Elkus presiding.

On motion of G. Wolf, Mr. Silberstein was to be
engaged as shochat for a consideration not to
exceed 25.00 per month.

The President, secretary and treasurer were appointed
a committee to attend to the building of a bulkhead.

The Secretary was authorized to have a receipt book
printed. The collector was allowed 3.00 per month.
