Sacramento, Sepember 26th, 1858
A regular Meeting was held at synagogue. President Mr. A Hamburger in the chair. A resignation from Mr. G. Aronson, as Trustee, was accepted and placed on file. The congregation went to a new election for two Trustees. A ballot was taken with the following result.
S. Lipman S. Zekind
were duly elected.
Mr. Lipman made a motion and carried that the Monthly (or Weekly) dues from Members be raised to two dollars or fifty cents a week.
Mr. M. Marks made a amendment to the motion, which was accepted.
Next a committee was appointed by the President which shall report, within four weeks to the Congregation, to find a suitable lot or building, for a synagogue. the committee consisted of three.
M. Marks J. Greenebaum J. Davis
A motion was made that Mr. Neustadter, shall be reelected, for three months from his term, which was carried, and he was duly elected for that time.
On motion the meeting adjourned to the call of the President.

Sacramento, October 17 1858.
At a call Meeting the congregration met at the Synagogue. J. Davis in the chair.
The object of the meeting was a report from the committee on buying a building or lot for a Synagogue, which was heard, and on motion of D. Kohn the meeting granted full power to the committee to buy, according to their best judgment.
No more business for the meeting this adjourned to the call of the Pres.

Sacramento, December 12th, 1858
A regular Meeting was held at the Syng. Mr. A. Hamburger President in the chair
The Minutes were read. Mr. J. Greenebaum made a motion to amend Mr. Lipman's motion from previous meeting, which was carried, and then the minutes were adopted.
Mr. H. Ahpel made a report. There is $625.00 in the Treasury.
Mr. J. Davis made report from the committee on collections they have collected $605.50 and ask for further time of collections which was granted.
The committee on buying the church made a report, that they have bought the church for the amount of $1800.00 in the following payments.
$900.00 cash to be paid down and $900.00 to be paid in the four month from this date, or if soon paid 2 1/2% per month off, the report was accepted and adopted.
Mr. Lipman's motion, notice of motion was taken up that the dues from members to be raised from one dollar to two dollars a month, was after a long debate, lost.
Mr. I. Louis, and Mr. J. Korn, were proposed and have been duly elected as members of this congregation. Mr. A Hilller & Mr. J. Eppenger send in their resignations as members which was granted.
Mr. I. Wormser was appointed to draft rules of Order for this congregation.

Mr. J. Greenebaum proposed following resolution which was adopted by the meeting.
Resolved that this Congregation issue Scrip to the Amount of Six Hundred Dollars payable in 12 month from this date, or latter date according when issued, out of any money not otherwise appropriated, the scrip shall be assigned by the President, Secy and Treasurer. And the Secy is hereby instructed to receive this Scrip as payment for offerings & seats, before the Scrip becomes due.
No other Business before the Congregation, the Meeting adjourned to the call of Pres. D. Kohn Secy
Sacramento, January 9th, 1859
At a call Meeting the Congregation met at the Synagogue, Mr. A. Hamburger in the chair. The object of the Meeting was explained by the Pres. -- a plan how to fix up the Synagogue.
Mr. Lipman made a Motion to give full power to the board of Officers to fix up the Synagogue, which was laid on the table. Mr. J. Greenebaum made a Motion the President shall appoint three on the Committee which shall inquire the cost, and plan of fixing and report again to this Congregation. Mr. J. Greenbaum, J. Davis. G. Aronson were appointed.
Mr. G. Aronson made a motion that the committee be instructed, to fix a plan so to seat the Ladys together with the Gents. which was lost by one vote.
The Meeting adjurned till next Sunday January 16th.

Sacramento, January 16, 1859
At a call Meeting the Congregation met at the Synagogue. A. Hamburger in the chair. A report from the Committee on specifiction was received, and explained the cost and plan how to fix up the Synagogue.
D. Kohn made a Motion, which was carried that the vote from last Meeting regard the Ladys & Gentlemen not seating together be reconsidered.
Severly [several] members made remarks in favor and against the plan of the former Motion.
Mr. G. Aronson presented by request a private letter from Doctor Henry which was read.
Mr. Saalburg made a Motion that the Congregation shall fix a place separate for the Ladys so soon there is money enough in the Treasury which was carried.
Mr. J. Greenebaum made a Motion that every Member be taxed Ten Dollars so to raise a fund for fixing up the Synagogue, was carried by large majority.
On motion, the Meeting adjourned till January 30th, Sunday.
