Resolutions
Sacramento, Cal. 1883
To the officers and members of the
Congregation B'nai Israel, City.
Your committee appointed to draft
suitable resolutions on the death of
our lamented sister Mrs. Rosina M. Hyman
by leave to submit the following as the sentiment
of our congregation.
Whereas, it has pleased the almighty and
above Ruler of the universe to call to
eternal rest our beloved sister
and Mother in Israel.
Resolved. That in the demise of our
venerable sister Mrs. Rosina M. Hyman
the Jewish community in general and
our congregation especial loses one
of her most devoted and zealous members
whose previous labors in behalf of the sick,
dying and the dead, stands forever recorded
in the memory of all. As a Mother in Israel
she was a noble model of a true and sincere
Hebrew woman, ever ready to serve the
cause of the religion she loved so dearly,
and the cause of charity in every mission
for the relief of the poor and distressed.
Resolved. That while we bow in humble
submissionto the divine decree, we sincerly
bewail the loss of so good and true Mother in
Israel, with the feelings of regret which
ever follow the good and the true into happier
world.
Resolved. That the members of the Congregation
B.I. tender to the family of the separated
their heartfelt sympathy and condolences
