Sacramento, March 29, 1882

To the president and members of the
Ladies Hebrew Benevolent Society

Ladies --

The Board of Officers of the
Congregation B'nai Israel at their
regular monthly meeting held on the
28th inst. instructed we to communicate
with your honorable Society
and to express to you in fitting
terms their appreciation of your kindness
in assisting in disposing of tickets
for our Ball and Entertainment
given on March 6, 1882. They desire to
convey to you their thanks for your splendid
success in your efforts to assist us,
and to each and every one of your society
who assisted, we desire to to express out
heartfelt thanks, and through us for the
entire congregation. Hoping at all times
when necessity requires it to find you
ready to combine with us to promote
the welfare of our congregation and
again thanking you.
