Sacramento, January 30th, 1887

A regular monthly meeting of the Board of Officers was held at Judge Haines office at 10 1/2 O'Clock A.M.

Mr. L. Elkus, President, in the chair. At roll call, following was noted absent. Mr. A. Dennery, A. Elkus and B. Wilson. The minutes of last meeting was read and approved.

Mr. E. Berck of Woodland made application to become a member of this Cong. On motion, Mr. Berck was elected a member unanimous.

The following members send in their resignation. S. Alexander, M. Sternfels and and B. Hirsh, all have paid their dues up to date.

On motion of Mr. B. Cohen, the President was authorised to see Mr. Cooper and have him reduced his salary.

The President stated that the organ was in bad condition and had the same renovated at a cost of $10.50. On motion the action of the President was approved.

On motion of Mr. Cohen that the we gave a ball for the benefit of congregation and the and the secretary ascertained on what night the Turner Hall and music can be had and at what cost and report on Wednesday night at a special meeting at 7 1/2 oclock P. M. Carried.

A special meeting of the Board of Officers was held at 7 1/2 o'clock P.M. Mr. L. Elkus President presiding. At roll call Mr. S. Dombrower, A. Dennery A. Elkus and B. Wilson was noted absent.

The President stated this meeting is called to hear the report of the Sec. in regard of procuring Turner Hall.

The Sec. stated that the Hall & 8 Man music and light can be had at $45.00. On motion of Mr. Cohen that it is the sense of this meeting to give March 10 a Purim Ball. Carried.

On motion, this meeting adj. till Sunday February 7th at 10 1/2 o'clock A.M.

A adjourned meeting was held at 10 1/2 o'clock A.M. Mr. L. Elkus in the chair. At roll call, Messrs. B. Wilson, A. Elkus, and A. Dennery was noted absent.

On motion, a committee of 2 be appointed on hall and music. The President appointed Mr. M. Levy and S. Morris. The President also appointed Messrs. B. Cohen and S. Dombrower on printing. On motion of Mr. Dombrower that price of tickets be $1.00 for 1 gentleman and ladies. Carried.

On motion, the Sec. was instructed to invite the Ladies Hebrew Benevolent Society to assist us in making arrangements. Carried.

On motion, the comittee on hall & music engage 8 Man Music. Carried.

There appearing no further business the meeting adjourned.

A regular monthly meeting was held at Judge Haines office at 10 1/2 o'clock A.M.

Mr. L. Elkus, President, in the Chair. At roll call, Messrs. M. Robertscheck, A. Dennery, S. Dombrower and B. Wilson was noted absent. The minutes of last regular and special meeting was read and approved.

Application of Messrs. Davis and Gottschalk to become members of this congregation was read and motion the gentleman was elected to become members of this congregation.

Report in regard to the Purim Ball was made, that the committee on hall and music engaged the Turner Hall and 8 Man Music. The committee on printing reported progess. The President stated that the ladies will serve lunch that evening.

The secretary reported that he received $25.00 from the President he collect from Mr. Cohen of Folsom for marriage fees.

The President stated that he made arrangment with Mr. Cooper, the organist, that he will have one rehearsal a week and play every Friday night and Saturday at $10.00 per month.
