Mr. H.A. Binder, Pres.,
Temple B'Nai Israel,
Sacramento, Calif.

My dear Mr. Binder:-

I have your communication of recent
date, regarding proposition of increasing dues of members,
and having a minimum membership fee of $2.60.

While I trust that your plan meets with
the greatest of success, still I am unable at this time
to raise the amount of my dues to $2.60.

The remuneration I am receiving as a clerk,
does not permit me to raise the amount I am paying, and I
feel that there may be other young men in like circumstances
as mine, and I would, therefore, suggest that you consider
the proposition of allowing single men to remain members at
the amount now being paid, namely $1.10 monthly.

Kindly present this suggestion before your
Board at the next monthly meeting, and if same meets with
their disapproval, it will be necessary for me to resign.

Very truly yours,
[Signed] Morris B. Rothholz
