Sacramento, June 28, 1899

The Board of Officers met in the synagogue
at 8 P.M. Mr. Albert Elkus, President, in the chair.
Roll called, all noted present.

Minutes of last meeting read and approved
The names of several applicants for Rabbi to fill
the vacancy caused by Mr. A. Simon were read
with recommendations &c. Among the names,
the Board decided to call a special meeting
of the members of the congregation on Wednesday
evening July 5 at 7:30 for the purpose of
electing a Rabbi & the names of Rev. Greenberg,
[?Zelinsky], Fabor & Schreiber & Zelosky be submitted.
And the Secretary was instructed to call a
special meeting for that purpose & also
to make arrangements for the coming holiday.
Moved & seconded that services in the synagogue
be discontinued during the months of July &
August and the choir dispensed with.

The following warrants were ordered drawn on the
Treasurer for Salary & Bills
Mr. Wilson Collector 50.00
Mr. Mohns, taking care Cemetery 15.00
Mrs. Stanley Organist 10.00
Mrs. Ross, Singing in choir 10.00
Cap. Gas Co. 4.30
Day & Joy printing & [pastels?] 1.75
Total $ 91.05

S. Stein [note] & Mrs. Ross were suspended for
nonpayment of fees.
No further business appearing,
the meeting adjourned.
