BIRTHDAY WISH

Sat FEBRUARY 2. Nice clear and warm. Lew and I hauled 6 loads of manure then he went to town to get a barrel they were all gone of apples and I believe he expects to go to Lyceum in Dist No 41.
FEBRUARY 3. Sun Nice as ever and rather warmer. Lew and Meda kept house and Mother and I went up to Mr Charlie Pennocks had a first rate visit I got some cions of weaver plums and Rocky Mountain cherry.

Mon FEBRUARY 4. Whew how the wind did blow all day but has ceased now. Lew and I made some bars to the correll [corral] then he fixed single harness and I worked at bottoming and hooping tubs and bucket.
FEBRUARY 5. Tues Pretty nice but the wind blew some towards night. We hauled two loads of hay from C V Howards besides waiting for the measuring.

Wed FEBRUARY 6. Lovely as an Indian maiden. Lew and I hauled two loads of hay from C V Howards after that we done sundry other chores for amusement.
FEBRUARY 7. Thurs Nice in the forenoon but the wind blew some in the afternoon. We hauled a load of hay in the forenoon and in the afternoon Lew done odd jobs. I worked at the wagon rack mostly.

Fri FEBRUARY 8. Very fine. We hauled a load of hay in the forenoon and in the afternoon Lew went to town with the marketing. I fixed the table pretty effectively.
FEBRUARY 9. Sat Awful nice. We hauled two loads of hay from Charlie Howards and that just made us a days work. I gave Mr Howard note for $37 and have paid him cash $37 65/100 [$37.65]. Note is due Oct first 1889.
