Tues April 2. Pretty windy and quite warm. Lew went up to the hills. I moved some rose bushes and commenced to irrigate the piece of corn ground over in the North West corner.

April 3. Wed Very nice day. Lew Still up to the hill place. I irrigated some and Set plum trees some and had a good many chores to do besides.

Thurs April 4. Clear and warm. Lew got home just at night. I finished irrigating the piece in the NW corner of the place and done some other chores and had a sore throat besides.

April 5. Fri Pretty warm but some cloudy. Lew and I hauled a load of hay and put into the loft. He went to town in the afternoon and I tended to the irrigating and dug up some roses.

Sat April 6. Some Cloudy and Some Clear and quite warm. Lew Will Dixon and Bert Black branded two of the colts then Lew and Bert took 3 colts etc for Lew and 7 head of colts big and little for us up to the hill place.

April 7. Sun Drizzled a good part of the day but didn't rain much. We kept Sunday mostly and hoped it would rain continually and that is about all of it I guess.

Mon April 8.

It pretended to rain a good share of the day but not hard enough to do any good or harm. Lew went to take Meda over to town in the morning. After he got home we hauled a load of feed to the milking yard. Then got out and cleaned 6 lbs of locust seed and finished the day setting slips on the timber claim.

April 9. Tues

Looked like rain most all of the time to day but didnt rain hardly any. We made wood of some dead trees carried off the brush and made some posts and took up a few trees.
