AUGUST 12.
Mon
Sprinkled a little about 3 Oclock. Otherwize [Otherwise] it
has been quite a nice day.
Lew and Bert cleaned out the milking yard this
morning and in the afternoon took Mrs McBane
to town as she was going to start home. Then he went
up to the hills to fix some fince [fence]. Took Ida Mellie and
Grace with him. Bert raked and shocked some.
I mowed some but didnt feel well pleased with it.

AUGUST 13.
Tues
A little more rain about noon but not
enough to do any good. Lew went hunting for Prince
Kingsman on old Nets account and Frank agreed to
bring him out to night. In the afternoon
he hauled some poles and mowed some weeds etc.
Bert and I ground the ledger plates to the mowing
machine a couple of sickles and a scythe. Then I fixed the
machine up and we worked at haying in the afternoon
and got along pretty well.
