SEPTEMBER 3. Tues
Well about like what we have had lately. Lew got ready and started for Cheyenne with a load of fruit. Mr Dixon and Will hauled 8 loads of alfalfa seed hay and helped Lew a while at noon. I picked plums some and irrigated quite a good part of the day and made a churn dasher and pig trough in the bargain or in the shop anyhow.

SEPTEMBER 4. Wed
Wind blew a blue streak a good part of the night and blowed the alfalfa all around and blowed of [off] lots of fruit and blowed the tent over. Mr Dixon
Mr Mattis and Will and I worked at the seed alfalfa cutting it and putting it back. It is awful heavy where we cut but we will get through in two or three hours tomorrow.

I checked and a churn dasher is a real item.
