Sat July 2 Windy all day and
quite uncomfortably cold too som [some]
of the time. The boys hauled 5 loads
of hay from over on the hill and
shocked up some of the hay in the
orchard. I mowed the south
end of the 10 acre piece as far
north as the ditch and I think
it is pretty heavy too.
Helen Heath came out to
stay with us awhile to day.

Sun July 3 Quite nice but some
cooler and thundered and lighteninged
quite a bit and sprinkled a little.
We all worried the day thorugh
after our several tastes and
inclinations. The bees swarmed
again and Jake hived them in
a box for himself. Mary and
Aggie are here going to stay
over the fourth.
