Fri May 12 A fine growing day.
We put in the potatoes up on the
Windy hill place and I worked this
afternoon at the folks's flower beds.
We turned Nell and her colt up in the
field at Windy hill.

Sat May 13 Nice and warm.
Lew prepared the ground and we Kib
and I planted between the trees in
the lower orchard to popcorn beans
punkin [pumpkin] and squash seed and potatoes.

Sun May 14 Quite a nice
day. Mother and I went up to Charleys.
Reas's folks were there and we had
a real nice visit. Harry and Annie
Dixon were here and visited Lew and
Mary.

Mon May 15 Nice and
pretty. Lew plowed the piece towards
the barn. Kib [beamed?] for him some
and helped me some at cutting up
dandelions and spraying trees.
We got a good start at the spraying
business.
