Tues May 16 Mostly clear here but
a shower or two waltsed around on diff-
erent sides of us this afternoon making
quite a bit of noise. We finished
spraying the orchard and finished
digging up the dandelions and finished
getting the piece towards the barn
ready for planting. Hauled a load of
hay from the Windy hill place and
now the youngsters have gone a
fishing up at rocky ridge lake.

Wed May 17 Clear and pretty hot. Lew
and I went up to Mr Pennocks and got about
1800 strawberry plants. Kib irrigated the
dooryard and things around the house.

Thurs May 18 Clear mostly but
awful windy in the afternoon. The
dust was just awful. I irrigated this
forenoon and this afternoon we planted
the piece towards the barn with sweet
corn punkins [pumpkins] melons etc. Mother and
Kib went to town and creamery this forenoon.
