Sat Oct 27 Cloudy and some cooler than it has
been lately. I finished triming [trimming] the raspberry
bushes and have got water running on to the
raspberrys and strawberries and have the
apples and potatoes covered up nicely.

Sun Oct 28 Clear cold and very windy
so we kept Sunday pretty close. Hans Anderson
was over here and made us a nice visit which
we enjoyed very much. Lew and Mary were here and
spent the evening. They brought over to Mother
14 chickens which they did not want to
move over to Andersons. I tried to irrigate
some in the orchard but the wind stopped
the water so I will have to wait a day or
so may be [maybe].

Mon Oct 29 Clear but pretty
cold and the wind blew pretty hard too.
I finished irrigating the lower orchard
all but the plum patch and husked
sweet corn besides what time I could get.

Tues Oct 30 Clear and fine.
I husked sweet corn. Lew and Dan McBride
came and got Lews cows and calves only he took
one of mine and left one of his that sucked.

Wed Oct 31 Cloudy and most too
much wind for our business. Mr Helm came at
noon and we have been threshing alfalfa seed
this afternoon. Threshed out the stack by the
house and will have a little over 20 bushels
of seed from it. Mr Dixon and Harry Sims co
and Mr Marsh was helping and there is three
men with the machine.
