2 inches of snow last night Nov 16

Fri Nov 16 Pretty cold all day and we had
about a couple of inches of snow on the
ground this morning and it has not
thawed off any to day [today] although it has been
clear all day. I chored around in the forenoon
and this afternoon I shoveled part of the
saw dust out of the ice house into the
little shed and found the hand axe that
was covered up last winter. Johny went to
school.

Sat Nov 17 Rather cold to day [today] but it thawed
a little. John and I went to town took over Mr Larimers
alfalfa seed 8 sacks weighing 150 lbs each but the
price has fell to nothing pretty near only 4 1/2 dols [$4.50]
pr [per] hund [hundred] unless it is very nice. We took over [300?]
and a little over of wheat took it to the farmers
mill and sold it to them there and we brought home
100 lbs of flour and a sack of bran and a sack of
shorts. Frank took away Lews cow so we only
have 3 to milk from this time on.

Sun Nov 18 A lavely [lovely] day still clear and
quite warm in the middle of the day. We cleaned
out the swarm of bees that got into the manger
of the cow stable last summer. They didnt
have much honey and I gues [guess] that they have been
sorry lots of times that they didnt stay
in the hive. Reas's folks were here and
we had a delightful visit and John has gone
over to town with Meda and Arthur.
