The State of Mississippi Montgomery County

This day personally appeared before me the undersigned Mayor of Lodi and Exofficio Justice of the Peace in the county and state aforesaid Miss. Achsah, Gray, who after being duly sworn by me deposeth and saith that on the Night of the second of January 1880, that, W. W Murray W. V. Murray in the county & state aforesaid did commit a Rape upon her person by force and violence with a Razor open and drawn in his hand threatening to cut her Throat if she did not yield to his wishes that she resisted with all her strength but he succeeded in accomplish-ing his purpose by force

S W. V. Murray is about forty five years of age. a Scotchman by Birth. six feet high with sandy hair and Biard. rather slendor for his heighth. an incessant talker and with voice rather fine for a man. a good Engineerer also a fine Mechanic
