Vicksburg. Miss. April 12th 79.
To his Excellency the Governor J. Stone of Mississippi. Jackson. Miss.

[fold] our capacities as architects. I know fully well enough, that I have been asking you favor after favor in regard to that A. and M. College, but if I tell you that it is more so a matter of professional am-bition for us than any other motive, to obtain the pre ordre for prepairing the designs for such a building, you may find my persistency somewhat excuseable. I hope you will do what you deem right in advocating the admittance of our services to Dr. Phares, and sign, waiting for a reply
very thankfully Yours— Alfred Zucker. Archt.
