"Last week was trial of Henry Wright for murder of Chas. Kelker, near Auburn, some three or more years ago. He was found guilty, but recommended to the clemency of the court. A petition signed by the Judge, District Attorney and many others, has been sent up for his pardon. He is a very old man, and heretofore peaceful and respectable." (The Clarion, Feb 26 1879)
