Commonly known as the Calhoun Tigers, Company F of the 31st Regiment, Mississippi Infantry (Confederate) was organized as Company E of 6th Battalion, Mississippi Infantry in 1862 in Calhoun County under the command of Capt. Benjamin Loughridge and served in the Western Theater. It was later commanded by Capt. Henry L. Duncan.
