The 7th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry (Confederate) was organized on September 25, 1861 in Alcorn County, Mississippi under the command of Col. Enos J. Goode and served in the Western Theater under Chalmers', Anderson's, Tucker's, Sharp's, and Lowrey's Brigades. It was later commanded by Cols. Hamilton Mayson and William H. Bishop.
