I hereby constitute and appoint J H Alexander of the above county & state my agent & Attorney to recieve and reciept for any money that may be found to be due me by the state of Mississippi for a horse impressed for the Military service of said state and to do and perform all other things necessary and proper in the premises and which I could do were I personally present. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, this the 25^th day of Feby 1864
