Dr Sir:

A meeting of exempts & detailed men was held at this place last Saturday (June 4^th) and organized a company under Your Honor's late Proclamation for local defense, by electing the following officers, viz. Capt. W^m S. Patton, 1^st Lt. W^m G Grace, 2^nd Lt. P. N. Bozman, 3^rd Lt. C. W. Henderson,

P. N. Bozman is between 45 & 50 years old, has been enrolled & applied for a detail as agriculturalist & has a furlough for 60 days. his application having been approved & forwarded at Meridian & Enterprise,
