To His Excellency Charles Clark Governor & Comd in Chief

Sir

Capt Brice commanding C. S. Arsenal at Demopolis Ala has in hand 4000 Stand of Arms of which 500 are Enfield Rifles and about 1500 Rifled Musket especially appropriated for the Trans-Miss Dept. but can be issued upon to the State of Miss upon your Requisition approved by Lt Genl Polk

Capt Brice has instructions from the Chf Ord C. S. to issue Arms & c to the State of Missi when not Specially appropriated
