Executive Office. Macon, Miss, June 2, 1864.

I, Charles Clark Governor of the State of Mississippi, do hereby appoint James D. Stewart Agent for the State of Mississippi, to sell the Bonds of the Confederate States of America, which are now, or which may hereafter come into the State Treasury, with full authority in the [precaises?], and as provided by law.
