Mr. John Anderson, Credit Foncier Bldg., Vancouver, B.C.
Dear Mr. Anderson;
Your letter of yesterday to hand. The disbursements I mention in mine of the ninth are for the outfiting of the present expedition both here and later at Nome and will possibly be in the neighbourhood of $3500.00. Mr. Stefansson has so far advanced the money and left with me two signed cheques on his account at the Colonial Bank, N.Y.C. One of these I have converted into $1,000 Amer. Express cheques and am holding the other to meet expenses here. I do not think Mr. Stefansson has kept an exact account of his advances

but I think I can furnich you with them. I have been transcribing my accounts from the time I have been associated with Mr. Stefansson from my cash book to a loose-leaf ledger and will either mail you these sheets from time to-time or bring them with me if I have an opportunity to return to Vancouver before leaving. The sailing date of the Victoria has been changed to read "not before the 18th" so it is uncertain when we willsail. Concerning the ledger sheets I should like them returned for use as a stock book. I shall also furnish with such invoices and receipts as are necessary
Sincerely,
-
