Dear Mr. Taylor:

As you know, a very important part of the plans of our company is to secure a commercial lease of the island in question. This may hinge on or may even depend entirely on the attitude of the people over in England. My intention is to furnish the money myself for my journey to England. What I want to ask you is if you think it would be right for me to pay this money into the treasury of the company, receive shares for it, and then have the company pay my expenses to England, it being of course understood that I am making the trip for the company for the purpose of securing a lease.
