V. Stefansson, Esq.,
c/o American Geographical Society,
Broadway at 156th St.,
New York, U.S.A.

Dear Stefansson,

I was very glad to get your letter of April 19th,
and have written to Dr. King as per copy attached, from
which you will see that I have taken bodily three or four
paragraphs from your letter to Mr. Fitzgerald of March 10th.
You write so much more lucidly than I do that I thought you
would excuse my plagiarism.

What you have told me about the Anderson attack
is just what Brown and I had expected, and I feel quite
sure, from information that has come through from Ottawa,
that you will get a very whole-hearted reception from most
of the ministers there, and I am certain you will be well
received by Dr. King.

The trip to England has been postponed from week
to week until it now looks as though I would not get over
there until some time in August or September, but I expect
to be East within a month, and should reach Milwaukee by
about May 15th, and be in New York before the end of May.

Please give me a rough idea as to what your own
itinerary during May is likely to be, so that we can arrange
to meet at some point convenient to you.

There is a good deal of mail accumulating here
for the men on Wrangel Island, but we will simply hold it
until we have some further instructions from you.

Undoubtedly we should pay customs duties on goods
from the United States to Wrangel Island in view of the fact
that we now claim the Island to be a British possession, and
I think with you that it is wise not to raise this question
by correspondence, but rather to deal with it personally
with the Minister of Customs.

Are you still on a Lecture Tour, or is that over
for the summer? Looking forward to hearing from you soon
and to the greater pleasure of seeing you within the next
thirty days, I remain.

Yours sincerely,
AJTaylor
