Dear Stefansson,

Attached is the original of a letter just re-
ceived from Mr. Heidman, Private Secretary to Dr. King,
from which you will see that there does not appear to
be much hope of getting our lease through until it will
probably be too late to be of service this year.

If there is any way you know of by which we
can get some more definite assurance of the lease from
the Government between now and the 15th of August, that
might enable us to raise the necessary money to finance
the expedition to bring Crawford and party out, please
let me know. I have written to Mr. Heidman as per copy
attached.

I hope that the extremely hot weather which
you are no doubt experiencing on the lecture tour is
not taking too much out of you. I am sorry that you
went on tour at all.

Is there any prospect of your going to London
this coming winter; there is just a chance that I may
be over there in October.

Meanwhile, with my best, I remain,

Yours sincerely,
A J Taylor
