Dear Mrs. Maurer:-

I have just received your letter of
June 6th, and can quite understand how anxious you
are to hear of the forthcoming expedition to Wrangel
Island for the purpose of bringing off the men who
are there.

Mr. Stefansson is at present in Eng-
land in connection with Wrangel Island, and you may
rest assured that the expedition will leave in plenty
of time, and that every precaution will be taken to
see that Wrangel Island is reached just as early as
nativation will permit.

As soon as definite plans are completed
