Mrs. O.R. Wilcox,
Secretary to V. Stefansson,
American Geographical Society,
Broadway at 156th St.,
New York, N.Y.

Dear Mrs. Wilcox:-

Mr. Noice arrived this morning, and after
talking matters over we have arranged that he will leave
here to-morrow morning and go straight to Seattle, where
his address will be in care of The Frye Hotel. He will
make a few purchases in Seattle of things required for
his trip, and will sail on July 5th for Nome.

We also thought it well to cable Mr. Stef-
ansson
, as per copy attached, and to wire Lomen Brothers,
a copy of which is also attached. Whatever replies I get
to either of these I will communicate to you. I am depend-
ing upon what Mr. Stefansson says whether I will go to
Ottawa next week or not in an endeavor to raise money for
the expedition.

There can be no question as to whether or
not the expedition must go, for not only is it imperative
that the trip be made, but it is equally important that
the trip be made quickly, and that the party be provided
with everything necessary to insure that they will reach
Wrangel Island and return with the men who are there.

Yours sincerely,
A. J. T. Taylor
