Dear Stefansson:-

Just a line to tell you that a report came out in Ottawa on Saturday to the effect that the Wrangel Island matter has been referred by Great Britain and Canada to the League of Nations, and that its ownership will be dealt with at the next meeting of the League.

You may have already received this information through the New York papers.

Attached is a clipping from the Vancouver Province.

The original of Mr. Brewer's letter to me has not yet reached Toronto, so I will retain your copy, if I may for a few days, but you may depend upon receiving it back.

I have not yet had an opportunity of seeing the Crawfords or Sir Edmund Walker, but hope to do so before the week is out.

Mona and I enjoyed our visit in New York very much, and we were both very glad to meet Miss Hearst and have the opportunity of spending an evening with you.
