Spokane I am afraid cant be done
in March as if we carry out our
plans we expect to [motor] to California
about the middle of March. We want
to see my people and Jack should
spend a week in Oakland at
Mr Keatings factory - if he is to
do some work for him and make a report
on conditions in India re. pumps etc.

We cant tell exactly yet - we once had
thought of sailing from Vancouver or
Seattle. Mr Wood expects to be in Honolulu
and wants us to join him there.

If we sail from San Francisco we would probably
sail on one of the Robert Dollar boats to
Colombo. (you might do that and go from Colombia
or Bombay to Australia)

I have to devise some means of getting enough
money - but I am determined to go.
