fear Mr. Noice might act upon his (the lawyer's) advice
which she did not want him to do. He told me also that Mrs.
Noice has been a very domineering character from infancy,
that she is fifteen or twenty years Mr. Noice's senior, and
that he is her fifth husband. I gather from him that she
may be responsible for a good many of the things whichwe had
previously supposed to have originated in the mind of Mr.
Noice himself.
