Dear Mr. Stefansson,

Your letter of Dec 3. received and wish to inform you that on Dec 16th I have sent you more particulars concerning Wells and Wrangel Island.

Write [Hindus] I think I mentioned in that letter that the diary, which was kept by Wells was taken away from him by Bolshies. I do not think you would be successful in obtaining it from them.

The man of my acquaintance that got Wrangel Island photographs is called Curtis Mitchell, Mexico, Missouri. I wrote him a letter lately, asking for those pictures but as yet did not receive any - thing. Am inclosing one of his letters to me. Try to get in touch with him.

I gave a lecture in few towns in Canada on Arctic Siberia which was illustrated by slides made from my photographs. These were made for me by Extension Dpt. University of Alberta. Amongst those slides were few Wrangel Island photographs. After I got through with lectures, I turned those

slides to the university and one could find them under the title "Arctic Regions and its Inhabitants" by Ivan Melnyk, along with a short sketch of N.E. Siberia and description of photographs. I am sure they would be glad to give you those Wrangel Island slides) (photographs) to be utilized by you. Anyway, if you fail in one try the other.
