Dear Mrs. Galle:

Just before Mr. Stefansson left for a lecture tour of three or four weeks, he had an interview with Mr. Noice who had returned from Brazil a short time before. At this interview Mr. Noice signed a retraction and apology for many of the essential points of the story that he published last fall. Mr. Stefansson has now asked me to send this apology on to you. The apology explains the whole situation, I believe.
