Mr. Stefansson, who is in the West on a lecture
tour, has telegraphed me to get together all the information I can for
biographical sketches of the men on Wrangel Island. These sketches
will be included in "The Adventure of Wrangel Island." In this connec-
tion he has asked me to write you and ask if you would be good enough to
write us concerning the main facts of your son's life and anything
that you think would be of interest in a biographical sketch of him.
