NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO. Nov

Dear Mr Stefansson

Your letter came to-day, sorry that you wont be able
to come when you expected, but will look for you later. A young
man from here expects to drive to Texas next month and will
pass through New Braunfels, and has arranged to stop to
visit the Galle Family. If you should get here before he leaves
will have him see you, and he could deliver message from
you to the Galles. My sister Kathryn Weaver teaches school and
showed [us a] program for their convention in Cleveland which
she expects to attend. no doubt she will hear your lecture
and if it is possible would like to see you. She will
stop at Statler Hotel, if you will send her word what time
it would be convenient, she would arrange to meet you.
In regard to reciepts from diaries, We feel the same as Crawfords.
We don't want any money out the tragedy, but if it would be
spent for memorial of some find, would be a noble thing for you
to do. My sympathies are with you in disagreeable attitude Mr Noice
is taking and hope he will look at it in right light without
unpleasant publicity. I have admired the unselfish way you
have handled the whole matter, and if their is any way I can
be of service to you, it will be a pleasure for me to do so. Should
it be possible for you to stop going east from Wisconsin do so and
we can discuss some of these matters more fully. My sister can
tell you how to stop on way from Chicago to Pittsburgh without
loss of much time. Hope to hear from you again soon.

With Kindest Regards from our Family,

Sincerely
John Maurer
