Dear Miss Maurer:

My difficulty in forming plans for Wrangel
Island hinges upon the slowness of the Canadian Government in c
coming to a definite decision of what they will do and what they
want me to do. I am expecting to hear from them any day.

The ship that communicates with Wrangel Island will
probably sail from Nome late in August, so you see there is plenty
of time to think. My present plan is not to go North myself, at
least this year.

I am to be on a chautauqua in Ohio this month.
You will be able to reach me around the 15th of June by writing
in care of the Coit Chautauqua System, 2443 Prospect Avenue,
Cleveland, Ohio.
