In your telegram last September, you said we may get word from the boys in Wrangel Island in March.

Now is it possible Mr. Stefansson that they would come over the ice to Alaska or did you expect them to go to the Siberian Mainland? I have been

thinking that perhaps your instructed them to do this if necessary and they would probably go to Siberia on account of it being nearer than Alaska.

I hardly expect the boys to do this but I would feel better if I had your idea about it.

If we get no word next month you plan to send a boat in July, did I understand

you correctly? It surely will be good to hear from them again.

You have had a busy winter season haven't you, and a profitable one I am sure. I have read frequently a synopsis of your lectures always with the same interest, that of being informed about the country I am deeply interested in.
