Dear Mrs. Maurer:

Mr. Stefansson has cabled me to send him as many photographs as I can secure of Wrangel Island. He has suggested that I write you to see if you have any showing Wrangel Island and the Karluk party. If so, would you be willing to send us copies of whatever photographs you have?

Mr. Stefansson wants to use these in connection with the publication of the diaries, about which I believe he has already written you.
